MPM was established in 1965
to assist the Turkish economy to operate under productivity principles, to
provide advisory and training support to all parts of the economy and to monitor
developments elsewhere with regard to productivity improvement methods and
techniques. MPM inquires into the methods to contribute to the development of
the national economy in line with the productivity principles, carries out
research on procedures to improve the productivity in both the public and
private sector enterprises, to monitor their implementation and to make
recommendations thereon, obtains technical assistance in the field of
productivity, to perform training and consultancy work, and promotes the
knowledge and methods dealing with productivity for 40 years.
MPM's mission is to increase
the international competitiveness of Turkish economy and to improve social
welfare by promoting productivity awareness, knowledge and methods; measuring
and evaluating productivity at different levels; developing technical
competencies in the field of productivity; improving productivity in all
enterprises, irrespective of their scales and sectors and obtaining efficient
use of limited resources.

German Centre for Productivity and Innovation
German Productivity Centre
RKW − originally established in 1921 − focuses on promoting productivity and
innovation in order to improve competitiveness and working conditions. Main
target groups are small and medium sized firms. As a tripartite organisation
partly funded by Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour RKW is cooperating
with federal government, employers associations and trade unions. Main
departments are labour management, business science and technology,
international relations and construction industry. RKW is member of EANPC
European Association of National Productivity Centres.
RKW is a network spanning the entire country. In Eschborn,
close to Frankfurt am Main, the organisation develops practical solutions to
meet the challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises. There are RKW
regional organisations in every state of Germany giving local support to
enterprises.

The
Academy of Management, Lodz
The Academy of Management (SWSPIZ)
is private University situated in Lodz in Poland. The Academy of Management in
Lodz was established by the Association of Polish Educators in January 1995.
Currently there are ca. 9 thousand students enrolled in the Academy. The Academy
offers MA and BA studies, postgraduate courses as well as specialized training
courses on daily, evening and weekend and extramural basis. At present five
departments are available: Management and Marketing, International Relations,
Finance and Banking, Computer Studies, English Philology. Academy offers B.A.
and M.A. studies in Marketing and Management with specialisation called
"Production Management". The Academy creates and provides on-line courses and
has own e-learning platform. The Academy has experiences in providing training
for SMEs. Academy has permanent contacts with a lot of SMEs in Lodz region and
Chambers of Commerce from Lodz. Academy is active in development of European
Project since 2001 as coordinator and partner.

Foundation Romanian Centre for SMEs
The Foundation "Romanian Centre for Small and Medium−sized
Enterprises" (the official acronym is CRIMM) is a nongovernmental and non-profit
organisation established in 1992. CRIMM's mission is to promote the
establishment of private enterprises and to develop a ruling sector SMEs in
Romania as a contribution to a sustainable economic development. Since its
set-up, CRIMM has achieved extensive experience in project management under
various programmes funded by the European Commission, the World Bank or
bilateral funding bodies. The scope of the areas of policy targeted by the
projects CRIMM implements is; research and technological development,
innovation, education and vocational training, information/ knowledge society
employment, regional development, environmental protection/sustainable
development and competition.

Productivity Centre
Slovak Productivity Centre (SLCP) was established in 1998
with the primary goal of being a catalyst of change in the productivity of the
Slovak industry and public life. SLCP cooperates closely with the top Slovak
research institution − University of Zilina. Slovak Productivity Centre is an
initiator of a design of the National competitiveness and productivity
improvement programme, which constitute the main framework for productivity
development in the Slovak Republic. SLCP arranges National Productivity Forums,
carries out specific educational programmes and consultancy projects in Slovakia
and Europe wide. SLCP is also National coordinator of Copernicus projects:
Dynamic Control and Management Systems in Manufacturing Processes. It
participates in FP 6 projects − Zilina Innovation Policy and to joint projects
with European productivity centres.

TOBB
Economics and Technology University (TOBB−ETU) were established in 2003 in
Ankara. TOBB−ETU which has launched its educational activities with the
2004−2005 academic year is the first such example in Turkey to be in a coherent
and close cooperation with the Turkish business and industrial sectors by taking
into account the circumstances and the needs of Turkey in order to find the most
realistic measures for the society. TOBB−ETU aims at educating students
possessing administrative formation and professional knowledge for both public
and private sectors with a distinctive understanding of training programme. It
also intends to make contributions to the social development by eliminating the
barriers for Turkish industry and trading. In this sense TOBB ETU heads for
economic and social parameters Turkey needs and takes part in vocational
training projects that are in relation to Turkish economy.
For TOBB−ETU the cooperation
between university and industry is vitally important. So that, "Joint Education
Model" has been improved under the university body. This model enables every
willing student to have internships in any industrial or trade enterprises which
have signed protocols with the university for 4 months every year.
